Dean Little joined Blank Law & Technology as a principal in 2003.  Mr. Little brings clients over thirty-five years of experience and skill as an advocate in complex commercial disputes.  Mr. Little represents and counsels clients in securities litigation, intellectual property and unfair competition litigation, and government civil enforcement proceedings.  Mr. Little assists clients to plan practical ways to manage electronic discovery on a cost-benefit basis and to minimize risk in legal controversies.

Mr. Little has served clients in the software, securities, telecommunications, energy, health care, food, oil and gas, and other industries.  Mr. Little has acted as lead counsel in controversies involving broker-dealer compliance, investor-shareholder controversies, director-officer responsibilities, fraud and misrepresentation, corporate raiding and piracy, trade secret misappropriation, trademark misuse, copyright violation, unfair trade practices, price-fixing, and government investigations and civil prosecutions.  Mr. Little’s experience encompasses advocacy at all levels of federal and state court systems including the U.S. Supreme Court, in arbitration proceedings, and before numerous regulatory organizations including the SEC, FINRA, MSRB, and state agencies.  

Mr. Little was chair of the Washington State Bar Association Task Force responsible for the reformed state Administrative Procedure Act.  He was responsible for state legislation creating an independent office of administrative law judges to prevent undue influence by agencies in regulatory hearings.  

Mr. Little earned his undergraduate degree in economics and his law degree at the University of Washington.   He was formerly a partner with Miller Nash L.L.P., Reed McClure, P.S., and LeSourd & Patten, P.S.  Mr. Little's professional activities include:

Mr. Little was born in Boise, Idaho.  Due to the necessities of a litigation practice in the information age, Mr. Little has a modicum of practical ability to translate geek-speak into legalese.
